Vale, Keith James Lotty.
On behalf of our community we convey our deepest condolences to our loved and respected Vice President Mrs Marj Lotty and family on the sad passing of her beloved husband Keith.
Keith served on the board of the Canterbury Bulldogs Club for many years in senior management positions.
It was an honour to have attended his memorial service at the Club provided by the Club officials who spoke about the many accomplishments of his tenure.
He will be sadly missed. ๐๏ธ

Premieres visit to KCAC.
Senior members of the Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre (KCAC) were treated to an online banking safety seminar last December 2, 2024. The event was attended by KCAC officials, CEO Anne Farah-Hill and Aged Care Coordinator Ms Gurmeed Nelson, alongside CommBank Branch Managers Carol Chami (Kingsgrove) and Hayley Street (Sylvania).
Due to a high-risk potential of todayโs modern-day banking, the seminar was a necessary countermeasure against online scams and as a means of informing the senior community the safety features of the CommBank application.
Thank you Mr Chris Minns
Kingsgrove Community Aid and Ants
Mr CHRIS MINNS (KogarahโPremier)โI would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre and Australian Nursing and Training Services for their remarkable achievements in winning prestigious awards at the Georges River Local Business Awards earlier this year. This annual event is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating exceptional businesses within our local community, and these two organisations have made significant contributions. The Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre received the award for Outstanding Community Services. As a community-based, not-for-profit organisation, it is dedicated to addressing the needs of the local community, particularly for those who are socially, economically, and linguistically disadvantaged. Their services include Child Care, Family Programs, Aged Care, Allied Health Care, and support for people with disabilities. Australian Nursing and Training Services won the award for Outstanding Education Services. As a Registered Training Organisation, ANTS offers courses in Aged Care, Disability Care, Community Services, and Mental Health. The organisation helps students develop employability skills for careers in the care industry. Established in 1990, ANTS was the first college to introduce assistance nursing courses, enhancing national care standards. Congratulations to both the Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre and Australian Nursing and Training Services! @chrisminnsmp
Thank you Mr Chris Minns for this acknowledgement in Parliament.
Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre
Mr CHRIS MINNS (KogarahโPremier)โI would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and congratulate the team at Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre for their campaign to educate senior residents about online safety and scams. Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre invited officers from St George Police Area Command to address residents about how to remain safe online. The presentation taught seniors how to avoid fraud, protect parcel deliveries, and safeguard their personal data while shopping online. Senior citizens across NSW are increasingly using the internet for banking, socialising, and shopping, which has had the unfortunate side effect of opening the door for nebulous characters who use techniques such as fake emails and websites to exploit and scam elderly residents. The presentation recommended ways senior citizens can protect themselves online, including strong passwords, two-factor authentication, verifying emails and messages before responding, as well as refraining from sending sensitive data across untrusted networks. The internet has provided opportunities for our senior citizens to remain connected and independent longer than previous generations, but this has also created new challenges. I congratulate and thank Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre and St George Police Local Area Command on this campaign to help seniors stay safe online.

The combined disability and seniors excursion to the gelato factory on the 1st October, where the amazing staff @artofgelatogelateria took us on a journey through the world of gelato. Thank you to Vincent for coming out and talking to the group, who enjoyed every minute and learned so much about what you do. They loved tasting the gelato and buying some to take home. This was followed by lunch at Rashays. The feedback from the group was so positive and we will be going back there for more gelato! ๐ง
